Inability to 'Act'

In class we had to make a video about the inability to act.

We think that we can relate the message in to our learning...Its like being stuck in our learning, we need to ask for help and we need to look for ways to solve the problem ourselves. We thought it would be fun to make our own movie to get this message across. We had 2 groups of criteria for our movie...
Criteria: (Content)
  1. Video - 30 seconds long, time is limited.
  2. Scenario - Show someone being stuck and not using the ability to act.
  3. Clear Message - Short sharp clip. Can the watcher get the point of your video?
  4. Unique - Coming up with something funny that gets a laugh from others.
  5. Time Passing - Do you need to show time passing in your clip to emphasise your message.

Criteria: (Movie)
  1. Light - Make sure the sun isn’t creating a hard to see clip.
  2. Voice Volume - Needs to be louder than other background volume eg Noise, Kids.
  3. Frame - What’s in the frame to make your message obvious.
  4. Steady Hands - Make sure the camera is still.
Individual Clips - Don’t do one continuous shot of 30 seconds. Make a range of short clips and join together.

FEEDBACK/FEEDFORWARD:
I love your video! Next time I think that you could make the camera a bit higher so that you can so all of the person ( Sometimes in the video you couldn't see half of the persons head). The one thing I love about the video is that somebody filmed you standing on chair to make you look taller. I think that it is a great effect. I also really like the topic you based your video on. Love it! Hannah

My Swimming Goals

Description: This term we have started swimming again. we have made some videos to show our skills in swimming. We looked back at out videos and observed what we could get better at and needs more practise. Then we made our own goals.

My Backstroke:

The Big Idea: Looking back at my videos I have made my goal. My goal is to concentrate on my kicking in backstroke. I am going to do this by trying to kick higher and concentrate more. I will try to achieve this goal before the term ends. I will know when my goal is achieved when I feel like I
can't get it wrong. I will retake a video and check if my goal is achieved. If I think my goal is
achieved I will set a new goal for myself.

13/3/15
Sadly, I wasn't at school when we had to retake another video of ourselves accoplishing our goal. :( So what I'm going to do is tell you how I feel about my goal.

Evaluation: I feel like my kicking in backstroke is improving and I feel like my feet are kicking higher and sinking less. I'm concentrating more on my legs and arms equally without overthinking
about both. I feel like I really have achieved my goal. I have tried achieved my goal in swimming sports and it went really well!

Maths Number Knowledge Tests

Description: In class we have been doing number knowledge tests.  If we got more than 80% in our Stage 4 test then we pass and get to do the Stage 5 test. If we didn't, we work with the teachers and that means we are on Stage 4. When you move on to the Stage 5 test you also have to get more than 80% to pass. When you pass the Stage 5 test then you have to do the Stage 6 test.
My Stage 4 Test: % 96

My Stage 5: % 96

My Stage 6: %28

Big Idea: I am in Stage 6. With our test we got a second chance to answer the questions, but we only get a tick if we can answer the questions in less than 3 secs. Then we highlight the questions we got mostly wrong in pink. That will tell us our goal. My goal is to write numbers to 10 000 000, including fractions and decimals.

Looking Back

Purpose: To share memories from my childhood.

In class we have been writing a poem from our childhood. Here is mine....

Remember when making  my parents concerned that I couldn't talk till I was 3? Then I finally  to started to speak only a little.

Remember walking to class and out of no where  a boy ran over me? My mum was worried sick!

Remember when I took a bite of a kiwi fruit for the first time in Pre School and ended up in the hospital? That was really unexpected.

Remember grasping my breath from an asthma attack in Yr 2?

Remember listening to a boring piano song which was like 10 pages long.

That was me growing up!

My first draft:
